Shuttle or Taxi
(Fastest & Most Convenient)
This is the most hassle-free option, especially if you have heavy luggage, as it takes you door-to-door.
Shuttle Services: Look for companies like GoOpti or Nomago at the airport terminal. You can book them in advance online or often at the airport desk.
Cost: Around €10–€15 (if booked in advance).
Travel time: ~30 minutes.
Taxi: Available right outside the arrivals terminal.
Cost: Around €35–€45.
Instructions: Simply give the driver the address: "Jamova cesta 2, Fakulteta za gradbeništvo in geodezijo."
Public Bus + Short Walk
(Most Budget-Friendly)
Step 1: Bus from Airport to Ljubljana Main Station
Where to board: The bus stop is right outside the airport terminal.
Which bus: Look for the Arriva bus heading to the Ljubljana Main Bus Station (Avtobusna postaja Ljubljana).
Frequency: Generally runs every hour.
Cost: Around €4.10 (you can buy the ticket directly from the driver).
Travel time: About 45–50 minutes.
Step 2: From Ljubljana Main Station to the Faculty
Once you arrive at the main Ljubljana train/bus station, you have two choices to cover the remaining 2 km:
Choice A: Walk (Approx. 20–25 minutes)
Head south down Slovenska cesta (the main avenue leading into the city center).
Keep walking straight past the Congress Square (Kongresni trg).
Cross the Roman wall area towards Aškerčeva cesta.
Turn right onto Jamova cesta. The faculty building will be right there on your left (right next to the Gradaščica river canal).
Choice B: City Bus (LPP) (Approx. 10 minutes)
Note: You will need an "Urbana" card to ride city buses, which you can buy and load with credit at the green ticket machines (Urbanomat) at the main station.
Take Bus Line 1 (direction Mestni Log) or Line 6 (direction Dolgi most).
Get off at the Aškerčeva stop.
Walk back about 50 meters to the intersection and turn down Jamova cesta. The faculty is right at the beginning of the street.
